Casa Dorinda COVID-19
Casa Dorida Response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus)
Update on covid-19
A message from our President and CEO
October 6, 2020
Since the early reports of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus), Casa Dorinda has been putting precautions in place to protect the health and safety of our Residents and Staff.
As conditions continue to change daily, Casa is adjusting our policies and procedures to meet new information supplied by the Center of Disease Control, the State of California Public Health and Governor Newsom’s office.
What never falters is our Leadership team’s commitment to our residents and our staff to keep them safe and healthy- that is, and will remain, our top priority. As this global pandemic alters the way we conduct our daily lives, we again thank all the residents, staff and family members, of both residents and staff members alike, for your selflessness during a time of uncertainty.
CAMPUS ACTIVITIES
We are offering exercise classes via our KASA-TV channel, as well as a range of Life Enrichment classes to help keep our residents mentally and socially stimulated.
Limited social distancing activities are being provided to residents.
Our dining room is currently closed. Meals are being delivered to residents in Independent Living apartment homes, and we continue regularly scheduled meal service to our residents in the higher levels of care. We have recently opened our outdoor dining patio for resident communal “to-go” dining. We also have meal curbside pick-up available for our residents who reside off-campus.
Housekeeping services are being provided to residents requesting services. Those requesting no service are provided clean linens.
Mail is being delivered to each resident’s apartment daily.
VISITORS & GUESTS
The campus is open to outside visitors and guests per orders of Santa Barbara County Public Health. Visitors are by advanced appointment only. Please contact us for the specific visitor policy.
